After graduating high school at Lafayette Christian Academy, he went to USL and took engineering classes and finally finished at MSU with a Mechanical Degree. While working on his degree, he supported himself by doing plumbing after hours for several local plumbing companies, In 1984, he passed the State Plumbing License Exam with a score of 99 out of 100 and started his own company : Jack Alvan Hayes Plumbing and Heating, which became Plumb-Rite Services in 2000. His Wife, Earline, took over the office and managment duties of the company in 2010. Earline is now 51% owner of the company and oversees it's daily operations.
