Laura Place, MD

Dr. Anthony McDavid specializes in pediatrics at Ochsner Health. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. He completed a pediatric residency program at Sacred Heart Women's and Children's Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. He is a father to six children, four boys and two girls.

Erica Sjunnesen, MD, practices family medicine at Ochsner Health. Dr. Sjunnesen received her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2019. She went on to complete her internship and residency at LSU Family Medicine Residency Program in Kenner, Louisiana, in 2022. Dr. Sjunnesen is a member of the American Medical Association and American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Sjunnesen is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She has been on staff at Ochsner since 2022 and practicing medicine since 2019. Dr. Sjunnesen performs minor, in-office procedures including Pap smears, dermatologic procedures and joint injections. She has special clinical interests in women’s health and adolescent behavioral health. In her free time, Dr. Sjunnesen enjoys dabbling in amateur interior design and spending free afternoons watching her backyard birds alongside her wonderful husband and two dogs.
