Kelly J. Boudreaux Jr., MD

Joining the Baton Rouge Clinic in 2010, Dr. Rachel M. Gruner brings to her patients over a decade of experience in the field of Internal Medicine. A native of nearby Zachary, Louisiana, Dr. Gruner graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge in 1993, followed by her completing her MD through the LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 2000 where she then completed her residency in Internal Medicine in 2003. Following several years of private practice in her home town of Zachary, she became a member of the Baton Rouge Clinic family of physicians. Board certified in Internal Medicine, she is licensed to practice in the state of Louisiana. Dr. Gruner is a member of the American Medical Association, the Capital Area Medical Society, the Louisiana State Medical Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

From his roots in Thibodaux, Louisiana, Dr. Joel D. Silverberg came to LSU in Baton Rouge to complete his undergraduate studies in 1981 and earned his M.D. in 1985 from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. Temporarily leaving his home state, Dr. Silverberg performed his medical residency in Internal Medicine through the University of Alabama at Birmingham, completing his program in 1988. He then completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism through the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 1992 before joining The Baton Rouge Clinic. Dr. Silverberg is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism through the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has served on the Board of Directors at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He holds his medical license from the state of Louisiana. Dr. Silverberg and his wife have four children and make Baton Rouge their home.

A native of Alexandria, Dr. Sandy Franz graduated from LSU with a degree in Microbiology before heading north to attend LSU Medical School in Shreveport. After earning her Medical Degree in 1997, she pursued her love of caring for children and completed a Pediatric Residency with Brown University at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. After her residency, Dr. Franz returned home to Louisiana and has been practicing in Baton Rouge since. She is active in the pediatric community in Baton Rouge, participating in many quality initiatives centered around health care delivery to children. She enjoys working closely with the Children's Hospital as well as the Pediatric Residency program, and served as a faculty member for many years. Dr. Franz is licensed to practice in Louisiana, and joined The Baton Rouge Clinic's family of physicians in the Fall of 2017. She is currently accepting new families.
