In 1979, after over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Joe Impastato opened Impastato's in Metaire. Only 5 years before, his brother Sal opened Sal and Judy's in Lacombe. Now the family of restaurants extends to Madisonville with the opening of Impastato Cellars on September 5, 2013. Joe's daughter, after working with her father for 20 years herself, has decided to bring the same traditional, authentic Italian cuisine to the table along with the old world ambiance of a 600 square foot wine cellar featuring over 400 labels, in addition to a wide variety of spirits and craft beers.

Not visited yet. Have big plans to go. Definitely will post our experience. It's a bit limited on choices on the menu.

Food was good. Service was ok. Nice ambiance. Eaten here a dozen times or more. It seems each time lately (last 2 times) the service always forgets something in the meal. The latest is the brunch...

Food was not great. Gluten free pasta was not good. Service was good and they were friendly.
