History

While in college at LSU working a degree in Engineering, a friends father was Master Jeweler & we had many great conversations. As I watched him work I became very interested, he mentioned that there were very few watchmakers around & felt it would be a good field, especially with my engineering background. After graduation I worked in the engineering field for a few years. However I kept thinking about the watch & jewelry business, it intrigued me. I decided to go back to school & learn the craft. After completing the watch & jewelry program I was lucky to apprentice with a master watchmaker here in New Orleans, I learned a lot from him was lucky enough to study under him from 1989 to 1993. In the summer of 1993 a small store became available & decided to open it as Hyme Tyme. As they say the rest is history, 25 plus years later I'm still intrigued with what comes next in the watch & jewelry business.
