Established in 1999, The Castine Center is an events building that has various basketball. It maintains several athletic fields and is spread over an area of more than 46,000 square feet. The center has a conference hall with a movable wall for meetings, training sessions, as well as changing rooms for weddings and special events. The Castine Center operates an over 900-square-foot kitchen with a locked storage area. It also maintains a ceramic tiled concourse and hosts trade shows, convention registrations and cocktail hours. The center provides access to phone and Internet services during trade shows and conventions. The Castine Center is a part of Pelican Park, which is owned by Recreation District 1.
