Franklin Senior High School
Founded in 1894, Franklin High School enrolls more than 500 students in grades nine through 12. The school features a cafeteria, gymnasium and auditorium. It offers classes in music, mathematics, English, science and social studies. Franklin High School s curriculum also focuses on agriculture, business studies, and family and consumer science. The school has a library that houses a variety of reference materials, newspapers, games, puzzles and dictionaries. In addition, it operates a guidance department that provides information on scholarship opportunities, graduation requirements and career planning. Franklin High School organizes parent-teacher conferences. The school offers a range of sports activities, including softball, volleyball, basketball, football, and track and field. It is governed by the St. Mary Parish School Board.
