Their mission is to highlight the numerous benefits of the sugarcane plant, contributing to the overall sweetness of life in south Louisiana.

In 2023, Louisiana produced nearly two million tons of raw sugar, showcasing the state's prominent role in this agricultural sector. With sugarcane cultivated in 22 parishes and all production contained within 11 sugar mills, the league emphasizes this crop's suitability for Louisiana's climate and lands.
