First Baptist Church is a local church and a center of worship and religious activities. Based in Owensboro, Ky., the church reaches out for the adult, women, student, children and the entire family. It has various ministries, such as worship and the arts, adult, women's, student/children ministry, bible study ministry, recreational group and prayer ministry. It conducts Sunday and Wednesday schools for worship, family supper, orchestra rehearsal, children activities, choir rehearsal and youth and adult discipleship training. Recreational activities include sports, fitness, crafts, special events, trips and camps provided in the Christian Life Center and outdoor areas. Its library has a wide selection of books and audiovisuals.
