St. Marys Manor is a 40-bed Medicaid-certified nursing facility located in St. Marys, Kan., and is a division of Community Health Care Systems, a rural health care system. It offers a wide variety of health care services and facilities, including transportation, on-site rehabilitation program, adult day care services and retirement apartments. The nursing facility offers a wide variety of specialty services, including social services, nutrition counseling by registered dietitians, and physical, occupational and speech therapies. Pawnee Mental Health Services, based in Junction City, Kan., is a nonprofit community mental health center that offers a range of services to patients and their families. The center has a staff of mental health professionals that includes licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and nurses. Pawnee Mental Health Services also has a team of case managers, activity therapists and other skilled professionals on its treatment team. It is one of more than 25 community mental health centers licensed and regulated by the state of Kansas. The community mental health centers were created by the Mental Health and Retardation Facilities and Community Mental Health Centers Construction Act of 1963 and are accessible to clients regardless of age, national origin, disability, diagnosis and ability to pay. The centers offer various services, such as outpatient care, day treatment, case management, emergency services, and consultation and education.
