Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 15,000 girls between the ages of 5 and 15 through various programs. It provides child care development, adult education, fund development and public relations management services. The organization offers Daisy, Brownie, Junior, and Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts programs. It provides various summer camps that include rock climbing, swimming, cooking, horseback riding and canoeing activities. Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa also offers programs based on leadership opportunities, communication and social skills development, money management and financial literacy. It employs volunteer leaders, consultants and staff specialists. Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa operates online shops that offer supplies, uniforms, sashes, vests and books. It is funded by the United Way. The organization maintains a presence in Urbandale, Iowa.
