Founded in 1889, National Association of Letter Carriers, AFL-CIO is the union of city delivery letter carriers working for the U.S. Postal Service. The association has more than 300,000 members throughout the United States. It operates contract administration, health benefit plan, retirement and city delivery departments. The association s compensation department provides information on the Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA). Its division, The United States Letter Carriers Mutual Benefit Association (MBA), offers a variety of life insurance programs. The association maintains over 2,000 branch locations in the U.S., the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
