McCordsville Police Department

Established in 2007, The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is a law enforcement agency that provides services in Marion County, Ind. It employs more than 1,700 sworn officers and nearly 300 civilian personnel. The department offers a range of citizens services that includes firearms permits and release, accident reports, alarm permits and auto release. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department also offers various criminal investigation and traffic enforcement services. In addition, it maintains several special units, including Special Weapons and Tactics, aviation, canine and mounted patrol.
