Established in 2001, Guardian Angel Hospice is locally owned and operated and offers hospice care services. It assists patient with emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs. It also offers speech and physical therapy services. In addition, it provides bereavement care and counseling services. Guardian Angel Hospice provides drugs, medical supplies and equipment to the patients. It also offers short-term inpatient care facility. Its team consists of physicians, nurses, home health aides, social workers, counselors, trained volunteers, and speech, physical and occupational therapists. Located in Kokomo, Ind., Guardian Angel Hospice serves more than 15 counties in the United States.

Paula Szczepanczyk, MD, received her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean, St. Martin. She also received an honors specialization in medical sciences from University of Western Ontario. She completed her residency at University of Connecticut Health Center and a fellowship at NYU Winthrop Hospital. She has a special interest in all things endocrinology, with a particular interest in diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders and obesity medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, running marathons/triathlons, Netflix, and spending time with her family. Her favorite vacation spots are Japan and Hawaii.
