Randy J. Irwin, M.D., vascular surgeon with CorVasc MD's and VeinSolutions, a member of St. Vincent Medical Group has been in practice since 2000. Dr. Irwin earned his biomedical engineering degree from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. After receiving his medical degree at The Ohio State University, College of Medicine, Columbus, he completed his general surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City. Dr. Irwin completed his medical education with a vascular surgery fellowship from The Ohio State University, College of Medicine.Dr. Irwin is board certified in general and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Irwin's medical interests include varicose veins, aneurysm surgery, and research trials, especially in the fields of gene therapy and stem cell angiogenesis. Dr. Irwin is a member of the VeinSolutions group of vascular specialists treating varicose and spider veins at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital. He is also the medical director of the CorVasc vascular ultrasound laboratory.Dr. Irwin's professional memberships include the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Irwin has been frequently published in peer review journals in his medical specialty. He has also been involved in numerous clinical research trials throughout his medical career.In tune with the importance of exercise for a healthy body, Dr. Irwin enjoys swimming, biking and running. He has competed in several marathons, cycling events, and triathlons, including the Ironman Triathlon. He enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
