Anja Schifano, DNP, APRN, PMHNP‑BC, WHNP‑BC, PMH‑C, is a board‑certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice and established women’s health expertise—including certification in Perinatal Mental Health. She provides compassionate, patient‑centered care across the lifespan, specializing in anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and perinatal mood/anxiety conditions. She offers medication management and collaborates closely with therapists and other providers. At the Shiloh location, Anja continues to offer preventive and routine gynecologic services on a limited basis. She is accepting new patients.

What led you to join this profession? The versatility within the specialty. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a doctor and always thought I would go into pediatrics. However as I progressed during my education, I began to fall in love with surgery. During my OB/GYN rotation in medical school, I quickly realized that this specialty not only had a surgical aspect but still allowed me to practice foundational/preventable medicine that I had been drawn to in pediatrics.
