History
The charming home known at The Redfield Estate first served as the home to descendants of John Kennicott, first settler to the area. Designed by architect George Elmslie who worked with Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright, the home was built in 1929. Located in the Grove National Historic Landmark, a 143 acre nature preserve, the facility is now managed by the Glenview Park District. Lovingly restored, the property has been offered to rent for private events since about 1980.
