Ruth Leedy Field

Ruth Leedy Field is the home of the Wheaton College Softball team and also serves as a throwing area for the Thunder track and field programs. Named after Ruth Leedy, a long-time coach and professor at Wheaton, the facility features sheltered dugouts and has undergone several renovations, including the addition of a permanent outfield fence and scoreboard in 2006.

With dimensions of 200 feet down the left and right field lines and 225 feet to center field, Ruth Leedy Field offers an accessible and functional venue for collegiate athletics. Notable improvements ahead of the 2024 season include the installation of a windscreen over the outfield fence, enhancing both aesthetics and player experience.
