At St. John Lutheran Church and School, we believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God that teaches the good news of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the sins of the world. We do not make up our own teachings, but teach the ancient, precious truths that God has given us in Bible. The core of what we believe and teach can be summed up in the words of the Apostles Creed, which Christians have confessed since as early as 150 A.D.

We continue to serve students who learn differently.SpecialtiesThe Reading Group is a nonprofit organization that helps students of all ages improve their reading, writing, speech, and math skills. For 45 years, we have served central Illinois students seeking help with reading disorders, dyslexia, light sensitivity, comprehension, fluency, and other challenges, as well as those who seek gifted enrichment. Our certified teachers have over 100 years of combined experience and advanced degrees in special education and reading intervention. We help students who learn differently reach their full potential in school, work, and life!
