In my area, this is the only game in town. Signing up is great, then you get the cable attitude. Just as lousy as Comcast.

I've been trying to get ahold of them for days... During business hours the robot "is having trouble transferring calls" and hangs up on me. I can't talk to a human to tell them that my internet...

Absolutely unbelievably bad. They have no customer service. Their service is atrocious. Usually I can think of something nice to say. Regarding Mediacom, there is absolutely nothing.
