History

Matthew has been doing private psychotherapy practice with individual, couples, and families since 1984 having had offices in Chicago, Evanston, and over the past two years in Skokie. He specializes in family therapy with children and adolescents with behavioral difficulties, working with high-conflict couples, and clients presenting with substance abuse, eating disorders, and self-injury. Matthew founded his Partners for Collaborative Solutions consultation and training firm in 2000, which provides workshops and consultation to to healthcare, mental health, and addictions organizations and programs worldwide.

Matthew has 37 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, couples, and families. He specializes in the treatment of substance abuse, self-injury, eating disorders, couples and family therapy. Matthew is an internationally known presenter and consultant and the author of 8 professional practice-oriented books. He is the director of Partners for Collaborative Solutions, an international brief therapy and family therapy consultation practice.
