Founded in 1975, the Lillstreet Art Center offers classes in art and painting for children, youths and their families. It conducts classes in pottery and clay sculpting. In addition, the center teaches the techniques of making handmade boxes and covered jars. The Lillstreet Art Center also offers courses in photography, jewelry making and cartooning. It conducts classes in molding glass forms. The center s printmaking department offers a range of courses in print media, including relief, intaglio, monoprint ing, litho transfers and screenprinting. The Lillstreet Art Center s facilities include a gift shop, art gallery and studio. The center s gift shop provides a variety of hand made and pottery items. It is located in Chicago.
