Lakeview East Chicago is a dynamic diversified neighborhood community rich in culture, history and the arts. We work hand in hand with our wonderful local residents, business owners and elected officials, who live, shop, dine and play in Lakeview East The Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce is a broad community based organization designed to represent and help merchants and other business people in the community. It is a policy of the organization to promote goodwill and a pleasant business environment for merchants, consumers, and area residents. As a not-for-profit organization of merchants and various business people, the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce works to foster economic growth and development within its boundaries through the collaborative efforts of its staff, volunteer Board of Directors, and the City of Chicago Department of Community Development. The organization utilizes available government resources and programs to assist merchants in furthering their businesses through a variety of programs and promotional ventures. The Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce's dedicated staff is here to help guide you to places of interest while you visit our business district. Whether it's a special gift, unique dining experience or a theater production, we can assist you by offering choices to make your trip memorable. Many new businesses and restaurants have opened their doors tempting us all with new creative products, services, ideas and wonderful meals. Perhaps the best way to enjoy Lakeview East is just by sitting on one of our benches or at one of our many cafes with your favorite cup of coffee and watching all the people and their pets pass by.
