The Lake Forest Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that serves and protects citizens and maintains law and order. It maintains administration and operations divisions. The department s support services division is comprised of criminal and juvenile investigation, records, training, animal control, community service, detention, and vice and narcotics investigation units. The Lake Forest Police Department operates a citizens police academy that provides training programs related to laws, firearms instruction, defensive tactics, criminal investigation and patrol procedures. It conducts School Resource Officer, child identification, senior services, speed enforcement and vacation home check programs. The department provides information regarding identity theft, Internet safety and child abduction. The Lake Forest Police Department also hosts the fingerprint identification program and offers the copies of police reports. It is located in Lake Forest, Ill.
