Vascular Transplant Services (VTS) is a Chicago based tissue bank specializing in processing and distribution of vascular tissue for transplant. VTS provides vascular and cardiovascular surgeons with an alternative to the devastation of limb loss by providing human saphenous vein for peripheral vascular surgery. Vascular Transplant Services offers two highly skilled facilities. Located in Schaumburg, Illinois a suburb of Chicago, it is conveniently located approximately eight miles from O'Hare International airport. The Chicago facility is the headquarters where the quality assurance department is located and final packaging and distribution of the tissue is performed. It is staffed by highly skilled and trained personnel. The second VTS facility is located in the metropolitan area of Memphis in Millington, Tennessee. In this facility the tissue is received from the recovery agency and processed by a highly experienced processing team, all of whom have been working as cardiovascular surgical assistants for at least 5-10 years. In addition to our technical team, we have cardiovascular surgeons who train and process the vascular tissue as well. The mission of Vascular Transplant Services is to improve the quality of life for all our recipients. This will be accomplished by the meticulous attention to detail in the preparations and storage of all tissues prior to transplantation.
