Garden Center For the Handicapped

Established in 1956, Garden Center Services is a nonprofit corporation offering a wide variety of programs and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The center offers various residential services that include community-integrated living facilities. It provides various regular work programs, such as packing, light assembly, mailings, sorting, collating and labeling, and packing and delivering weatherization kits. Garden Center Services offers a range of community employment services, including job coaching, training, resume writing, and vocational assessment and placement. The center additionally provides various respite services that include offering home support to various individuals. It also offers various social activities, such as shopping, cooking, exercise programs, community outings, field trips, and arts and crafts. Garden Center Services is located in Burbank, Ill.
