Washington Elementary School is a part of Belvidere Community Unit School District 100, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools. Washington Elementary School serves students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its staff includes teachers, teaching assistants, Title I instructors, specialists, social workers, psychologists and office personnel. The school supports a variety of extracurricular programs in art, music and physical education. In addition, Washington Elementary School provides medical care, speech pathology, and guidance and counseling services to students. It also provides transportation and food services. Located in Belvidere, Ill., Washington Elementary School organizes parent-teacher conferences to provide opportunities for discussion of mutual concerns of parents and teachers and foster communication with the school and community.

Operating for more than 100 years, Saint Bede Academy is a college-preparatory school that provides Catholic education to students in the state of Illinois. The academy provides advanced placement classes in a variety of subjects that include calculus, chemistry, European history and physics. Additionally, it offers early entry college classes in sociology, psychology and art appreciation. Saint Bede Academy encourages students to take part in an array of athletic activities, such as football, cross country, golf, volleyball, tennis, bowling, weightlifting, basketball, baseball, softball and track. It has various religious organizations, including Eucharistic Ministers and abbey mass servers. In addition, the institute offers memberships to a range of academic clubs that include scholastic bowl, and science and Spanish clubs. Saint Bede Academy is located in Peru, Ill.
