East Prairie Junior High School

Arcola Junior Senior High School, is a public charter school located in Arcola, Ill., and is a part of Arcola Community Unit District. The school provides a comprehensive education in all core curricular areas, and its high school curriculum includes courses, such as English, mathematics, science and American history. It also gives instructions in health and physical education, computer science, art, and music. Its library has reference materials, such as Encyclopedia Britannica, World Book and e-library, in addition to classroom resources for various subjects. Arcola Junior Senior High School offers a variety of extracurricular activities including various sports, such as basketball, football, softball, baseball, swimming and volleyball.

Unity West Elementary is a part of Unit Seven Schools, and offers its students various academic and co-curricular programs and activities. The school s curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, fine arts, foreign languages, mathematics, physical education and health, science, social studies, and special and vocational education. Unit Seven Schools provide a comprehensive curriculum for students in grades kindergarten through 12. Preschool and early childhood programs are available to further the developmental needs of 3, 4 and 5-year-old children. A full day program is available to the 5-year-old entering kindergarten. The traditional subjects are available, along with computer literacy, art, music and physical education. In addition, a media center is housed in each of its school buildings. Special services for gifted, speech and Title I reading students, and students with specific learning needs are also offered. Unity West Elementary is located in Tolono, Ill.

Heritage High School provides learning experiences for students in grades 9 through 12. It offers educational classes in arts, biology, physics, chemistry, English, math, social studies, economics and physical education. The school also provides courses in industrial technology, agriculture and computer application. It has a counseling department that employs guidance counselors who serve teachers and parents by providing information that assists in meeting the academic and emotional needs of students. Heritage High School serves a selection of lunch items. It organizes volleyball, cheerleading, basketball, softball, baseball, and track and field. The school additionally conducts parent-teacher conferences. It is located in Broadlands, Ill. Heritage High School is a part of Heritage Community Unit School District 8, which publishes a newsletter that provides information related to school updates and events for parents and students.
