Dr. Todd Rimington grew up in Central Illinois and strives to bring his small town values to work each day. He is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Surgery of the Hand. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Illinois, he earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Chicagos Pritzker School of Medicine. He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery training at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. and a Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microvascular Fellowship in Pittsburgh. He specializes in hand and upper extremity injuries and lower extremity fracture care. This includes upper extremity fractures, shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder replacement, elbow arthroscopy, elbow replacement, wrist arthroscopy, wrist replacement, and all hand surgery including microsurgery and nerve surgery. Dr. Rimington specializes in wide awake hand surgery. By using local anesthetic and limiting the use of tourniquets, Dr. Rimington can perform most of his hand surgeries with his patients fully awake, minimizing surgical and recovery time. Dr. Rimington also specializes in complex rotator cuff reconstruction and reverse shoulder arthroplasty. Using new techniques such as superior capsular reconstruction, Dr. Rimington can repair massive rotator cuff tears allowing patients to regain shoulder motion, strength, and function.Dr. Rimington has multiple publications in peer reviewed journals and orthopaedic textbooks. He is an orthopaedic instructor for the emergency medicine residency program and family medicine fellowship program. He has presented his research at national hand and orthopaedic meetings. He is especially active in the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). Dr Rimington has been in practice since 2011. He specializes in hand and upper extremity injuries as well as lower extremity fracture care, and he would be happy to care for you for any of your orthopaedic needs.

Dr. Todd Rimington is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microvascular Surgery. After earning his medical degree from the University of Chicago, he completed his orthopedic residency at Georgetown University and fellowship in Pittsburgh. He specializes in hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder care, including wide awake hand surgery, rotator cuff reconstruction, and joint replacement. An active member of ASSH and AAOS, Dr. Rimington also teaches orthopedic care to emergency and family medicine residents. He’s practiced since 2011, bringing small-town values and advanced care to his patients.

Dr. Christopher C. Mahr, board certified orthopedic surgeon, completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago. As a board certified member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), he has been practicing orthopedic surgery since 2002. He further went on to Sportsmed SA Hospital in South Australia where he received fellowship training in Arthroplasty and Sports Medicine. Dr. Mahr’s interests are Sports Medicine, General Orthopaedic Care, Arthroscopic Procedures (including Hip Arthroscopy), Total Joint Replacement, and Fracture care. Dr. Mahr approaches all of his patients with compassion and professionalism. He finds it important to help his community by providing his expertise to young athletes. He is the team physician at Maine South High School and is also on the Medical Advisory Board for School District 64.
