Walker Tile was founded in 1952, and soon became the leading tile store serving Chicago's south suburbs and the northwest Indiana area. In 1976 we moved into our current 27, 000 square foot location. In the mid-1980's, with the expansion of our carpet department, we changed our name to Walker Carpet & Tile World. Many of the thousands of items we carry are stocked right on the showroom floor so you can see the actual material you are going to take home, not just a single sample piece. Our showroom contains numerous large displays and vignettes that allow you to visualize the finished product and give you design ideas to help you create the perfect environment for your home.
