Almost Home Kids

Founded in 1999, Almost Home Kids is a pediatric, short-term care home that serves medically fragile children. Based in Naperville, Ill., it caters to children who often depend on ventilators for breathing support and feeding tubes for nutrition. The care center offers three care programs, including respite, transitional and respite transportation care. Additionally, it renders speech, occupational, physical and therapeutic massage therapy as well as nutritional consultation and multidisciplinary case management services. Almost Home Kids also organizes community activities that support the needs of children/families throughout the Midwest, such as mini-conferences at hospitals/schools, speaking engagements and trainings.
