History
Graduating under full scholarship from Kalamazoo College in 2005 with degrees in chemistry and in music, Pierre Miller enjoyed a successful career in chemistry before teaching music full time in 2008.
Specialties
Teaching adult beginners. In-home piano lessons. Beginners to advanced students. (Ages: 4-75+) Students with special needs. I customize an individual program to suit the needs of every piano student. I also offer one-on-one instruction/tutoring in: *Music theory *Composition *Songwriting *Music history My students stay with me for years, and many of my first students I still teach to this day. I view [music] education as a never-ending process of discovery, assimilation, forgetting, relearning and enjoyment, and I strive for my students to acquire as broad a knowledge base as I have. I'm patient and demand the same patience of my students. The most important lesson I teach is for students to be patient with themselves, but to never settle for any less than the best they can manage.
