Founded in 1964 by Howard Cook in a 20-foot by 20-foot block building with two small greenhouses attached, Town and Country Gardens was initially a grower and marketer of bedding plants. Today, Town and Country offers a full range of nursery products, including annual flowers, perennials, hard goods, statuary, trees and shrubs, bare root trees, ponds and waterfalls, a wide array of roses, instant shade trees, bulk bark and mulch, stepping stones and bagged mulch. In addition, the company has a wholesale division that provides classroom seminars and gardening tips, offers a newsletter and operates a fully stocked garden accessory store. Town and Country Gardens has operational facilities in Idaho Falls and Pocatello, Idaho.
