Founded in 1979, SL Start is a human services organization that provides services for children and adults in approximately 26 cities throughout Washington and Idaho. Its services include programs for children with Autism spectrum disorder/other developmental disabilities, community-based programs for adults with developmental disabilities and employment programs for people with/without disabilities. These include intensive behavioral interventions, developmental therapies, residential services, respite, behavioral consultations and family support/training, among others. The organization's employment program consists of career plan development, job exploration/training/placement, ongoing retention services and more.
