Music for You

History

Music for You was born out of a desire to provide an affordable music education. I appreciate how difficult it can be to get by and still provide high quality activities for your child to participate in. I am passionate about providing a high quality music education at any level. As an educator I have always believed that children will live up to the standards that you set. If high, yet achievable standards are given, then children will meet them. I also believe that the song and musical material used to teach should be of excellent quality. This is why Music for You is based on a history of folk songs and rhymes passed down through the years and have stood the test of time. We also use high quality art music for movement and expression. It is my goal to provide a complete music education from the beginning stages of bonding, play, and being creative to learning music literacy so that playing an instrument or singing will be a natural extension of the child's musicality.

Specialties

Music for You exists to offer a sustainably affordable general music education on the Windward side of O'ahu and to equip parents and children with the tools they need to be their own music makers and encourage them to use these tools to build their family and community relationships. We offer adult/child classes for infants and toddlers, preschool music classes, and elementary general music classes with a focus on music literacy.
