Make plans to see a performance at the Army Community Theatre, or check out the gear and programs at the Outdoor Rec Center. Save time to take a tour of Fort Shafter, a National Historic Landmark, and visit the historic Palm Circle, Talian Fountain and other heritage sites.Off-Post, you'll see why Oahu is considered the heart of Hawaii. Take a day to explore the five historic sites at Pearl Harbor which can't be missed. Walk in the footsteps of Hawaiian royalty at Iolani Palace, or visit the birthplace of modern surfing on the north shore!Our suites offer everything from free high-speed Internet access, local calls and a 32-inch LCD cable TV with HBO to a living room and a desk with dataport. Fort Shafter Welcomes Distinguished Visitors From white sandy shores to colorful flora and lush greenery, Honolulu is a stunning backdrop for Fort Shafter. Reserved for our distinguished visitors, the priority accommodations at the IHG Army Hotels at Fort Shafter are centrally located in Honolulu just three miles from the HNL airport. While here on official duty, you'll find our location on Fort Shafter to be convenient to a number of on-Post sites, including Palm Circle, the Engineers and IMCOM. Our free shuttle to Tripler Army Medical Center runs from 6:30am to 7:30pm, making check-in a breeze. We are within walking distance of The Strike Zone bowling alley, the Post Gym and the Nagorski Golf Course. In your free time, Honolulu has plenty of attractions to keep you entertained. The nearby Waikiki Aquarium lets you catch a glimpse of Hawaii's marine treasures, such as tropical fish and endangered monk seals. The Diamond Head volcanic crater offers incredible panoramic views, and don't miss a chance to see the Pearl Harbor Memorial. The Fort Shafter DVQ offer all the comforts of home for your official duty trip. Each pet-friendly suite comes with modern perks, such as free high-speed Internet access and a flat screen TV.
