Boswell Regional Center specializes in providing services to patients with mental disorders and other development disabilities. A part of the Mississippi Department of Mental Health, it is one of the leading regional facilities in United States. Formerly known as Mississippi State Tuberculosis Sanatorium, Boswell has been operational for more than 40 years. Serving more than 5,000 people annually, the center has branch locations in Magee, Mendenhall, Brookhaven, Wesson, Hazlehurst and Natchez, Miss. Boswell s services include geriatric services, activities for elderly clients, home living skills, self care, hygiene, grooming and light housekeeping training, and speech, language, physical and occupational therapies. It also offers psychological and social services, medical and dental treatment, pharmaceutical solutions, nutritional counseling and dietary services, recreation activities, vocational services, and diagnostic and evaluation solutions.
