Valdosta Fire Station 2

Valdosta Fire Department protects the lives and property of residents through fire prevention, public education and the mitigation of emergencies and disasters. Located in Valdosta, Ga., the department operates more than five fire stations, equipped with fire, pumper, ladder, rescue and airport crash and rescue trucks. Its services include fire suppression, fire safety education and prevention, code enforcement, hazardous materials mitigation, confined space rescue and first responders. The department s firefighters are trained to the highest level of hazardous material response and handling offered by the State Fire Academy. The Valdosta Fire Department responds to more than 2,000 fire and rescue calls each year and conducts public fire safety education classes for students. It also coordinates recovery program for spills and releases of hazardous materials.
