The Blood and Marrow Transplant Group of Georgia offers clinical transplant programs in the Southeast and serves patients undergoing bone marrow and stem cell transplant therapy and also provides primary leukemia treatment. It provides services seven days a week, 24 hours a day and provides patients with team-based care that includes psychologists, pharmacists, nutritionists and physical therapists. Its physicians manage the clinical care of patients in the hospital and in the outpatient setting and develop clinical treatment protocols and treatment plans. The group provides treatment for acute myelogeneous leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, amyloidosis, anaplastic lymphoblastic lymphoma, aplastic anemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, chronic myelogenous leukemia, hereditary hemoglobinopathies and Hodgkin s disease. It additionally offers autologous stem cell, related and unrelated allogeneic and haploidentical stem cell, cord blood, nonmyeloablative and reduced intensity stem cell transplants. Its research initiatives and collaborations provide access to drugs, biologics and cellular therapies to patients.

Gregory Mitchell, M.D. is a board-certified urologist with expertise in treating a broad range of male and female urologic problems. Dr. Mitchell has authored many peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the Southeastern Section of the AUA, the American Board of Urology, and the Georgia Urological Association and has been recognized with several professional awards. Dr. Mitchell works to provide comprehensive, compassionate care focused on each individual patient. He believes that in addition to technical proficiency and incorporation of cutting-edge treatments, effective communication is essential for excellent clinical care. In addition to urology, Dr. Mitchell enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, running, cycling, soccer, and music. Dr. Mitchell welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
