Piedmont College is a private, coeducational, church-affiliated liberal arts institution in Georgia. It was founded in 1897 as the J.S. Green Collegiate Institute, and afterwards became affiliated with the Congregationalist Church due to a need for additional financial support. The college has an enrollment of more than 2,500 students and offers undergraduate degree programs and graduate programs in education and business. North Georgia Technical College, also known as NGTC, is a public, postsecondary educational institution. It is one of the oldest technical colleges in Georgia.
