Max and Maggie

History

Max and Maggie began performing together at the Grant Park Farmers Market, where people quickly began seeking them out to perform for weddings and parties. After playing for increasingly larger events, we teamed up with local banjo and bass players to offer clients a full band sound. We also have acquired a sound system for amplification, and have expanded our repertoire and offer folks the option of requesting popular songs from today or any other historical period.

Specialties

Foot-stomping old-time Appalachian music for parties, weddings, and other events. Soulful harmonies and artful renditions of folk standards from the mountains, piedmont, and deep south. Performing everything from wild fiddle tunes to low-down country blues, uplifting spirituals and haunting mountain ballads, we can put together the right mix of sound for any occasion!
