Tanner Health System

Tanner Health System provides a wide range of medical services for patients in the west Georgia area including cancer care, rehabilitation, occupational health, home health and hospice. Tanner's maternity centers deliver more than 1,400 babies each year and more than 6,000 surgeries are performed each year in Tanner facilities. Construction of a new hospital, Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica, Ga., was completed in fall 2003. The new facility includes expanded diagnostic imaging services and a maternity center. Renovation of Higgins General Hospital, located in Breman, Ga., was completed in spring 2003. The project included reconstruction of the hospital exterior, new laboratory and emergency department and a 31,000-square-foot medical office building. Renovation and expansion of the Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton, Ga., Intensive Care Unit doubled the room space and added more conveniences.
