About our church... We are Greater Augusta Apostolic Church! Our church has been a part of the community since 1947. We are a unified body of born-again believers of Jesus Christ, spreading the wonderful redemptive message of the Gospel. We are affiliated with the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ. We hold firm to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the apostolic doctrine. We believe in the dynamic power of prayer, and constantly aim at "praying without ceasing ( Acts 12: 5, 1 Thessalonians 5: 17 )." We believe in offering God praises from our mouth and we "worship Him in spirit and in truth ( Psalm 34: 1, John 4: 24 ) ". Our pastor is Terry Newsome, who continues to preach and teach the anointed Word of God with passion and commitment. He encourages the church family to keep God as the head of our lives: being faithful in prayer and keeping the Word of God in our hearts. He motivates us to spiritually grow by encouraging the church to be obedient to God's Word. Truly, he is a servant of God, and he possesses such a strong burden to see lives change by the power of God. Pastor Newsome has lived in the Columbia County/Augusta area for most of his life. He is married to Althea Newsome, and they have three children.
