Weekiwachee Preserve is a spacious park that features easy-level trails suitable for walking and cycling. Visitors can enjoy a scenic environment around lakes, making it a great spot for outdoor activities. The park also allows dogs, adding to its appeal for pet owners.

Currently, the park is experiencing restrictions due to Covid-19, which affects access to certain attractions, including the Mermaids. While the walking paths are wide and accommodating, some visitors have noted the presence of dog waste along the trails. Despite this, the park remains a popular destination for those seeking a natural retreat.
