The steaks, the pork chops, the chicken, the cheeses... and the wine. There is nothing I don't love about the Butcher's Block. The filets are my jam!!! Love that they are our local butcher shop...

The Butcher's Block began building its reputation 42 years ago for incomparable steaks. Stan McGowan established the store when he came to Sarasota from Ohio in 1968. He is joined by his son Scott to deliver 5 generations of family experience and expertise in the meat business. We offer only beef from premier mid-western corn-fed stock. Each piece is naturally aged for 21-30 days, expertly cut, and hand trimmed. Our wine store is stocked with over 1, 500 wines. Since we are just beginning to add them to our site, we encourage you to call us if you don't see what you are looking for. Chances are, we have it or can get it for you at a great price.
