A Spanish watchtower, built in the late 1500's was the predecessor of the present St. Augustine Lighthouse. St. Augustine is the site of the oldest aid to navigation in North America. The original watchtower became Florida's first lighthouse in 1824.

It's definitely leg day to climb up the stairs to the top! But the view is 100% worth it! The history and information given during the tour is really cool! Definitely worth checking out!

Cool place to check out if you're in the area. The lighthouse was the main attraction of course and it has signs to let you know how far up and how much further you have left as you climbed it....

This is the 7th tallest lighthouse in America. There are several places along the way up to stop and rest if you need to. It was a pretty easy climb but I would recommend bringing water. The view...
