Shahla Khalilahmadi Escobar, MD

Dr. Hunte specializes in caring for hospitalized children as part of the Johns Hopkins All Children’s at Sarasota Memorial Hospital Pediatric Hospitalist program. She joined the hospital staff in 2014.She earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and a master’s in public health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory in Atlanta. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Colorado-Denver.

Marsi Kerr, CRNA, APRN, is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. She joined the hospital staff in 2025. Marsi earned a bachelor's degree in Nursing from the Madonna University in 2004. She completed her Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesiology from University of Detroit Mercy in 2009.

Dr. Fonseca-Mejia specializes in pediatric gastroenterology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. She sees patients on the hospital’s St. Petersburg, Florida, campus. She joined the hospital staff in 2025. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. She completed a pediatrics residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. During her training, she completed translational research on patients with biliary atresia. Her clinical interests include all aspects of general gastroenterology with special interests in inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic esophagitis and liver diseases. Dr. Fonseca-Mejia speaks English and Spanish.
