Pedro Covas, M.D., is a board-certified, noninvasive cardiologist at Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. His expertise lies in utilizing echocardiography and cardiac computed tomography (CT) to guide structural heart procedures. He completed an internal medicine residency and general cardiology fellowship at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he served as chief cardiology fellow during his final year. He also completed a cardiac imaging fellowship at Baylor Scott & White – The Heart Hospital Plano in Plano, Tex. Dr. Covas is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. He has published articles focused on cardiac imaging in medical journals and presented at scientific symposiums. To achieve the best health outcomes for his patients and ensure their satisfaction, Dr. Covas utilizes a patient-centric, thorough and evidence-based approach.
