Mission San Luis explores and communicates Hispanic American heritage and explains the role of Florida s Native American communities to visitors. It has more than 60 acres of archaeological deposits, including remains from religious, secular, public and residential areas. Mission San Luis additionally features a more than 8,100 square-foot of archaeology laboratory that conserves over 900,000 artifacts, records, maps, slides, negatives and field notes and nearly 15 tons of building materials. Additionally, it organizes workshops, birthday parties and educational programs. Mission San Luis also organizes a variety of events, such as camps, arts and crafts and Thanksgiving. It maintains a location at Tallahassee, Fla. Mission San Luis has a staff of more than 15 employees.
