Matthew Hall, M.D., is the lead pediatric radiation oncologist at Miami Cancer Institute, a part of Baptist Health South Florida. He is Board certified in radiation oncology and has extensive training and experience in standard photon therapy and proton therapy – a highly advanced form of radiation technology that targets cancer cells with pencil-beam scanning precision while sparing the surrounding healthy tissue. His clinical specialty and research focus on innovative ways to treat cancer with radiation therapy while minimizing long-term side effects. He has authored more than a dozen scientific articles in his specialty and has presented posters and abstracts at numerous national and international meetings. Dr. Hall is a member the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American College of Radiation and several other scientific and medical societies. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, graduating with honors. He also earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois Liautaud Graduate School of Business in Chicago. He served as chief resident during his radiation oncology residency at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte. He continued his postdoctoral training at the University of Florida Health Proton Therapy Institute in Jacksonville, completing a fellowship in adult radiation oncology and a fellowship in pediatric radiation oncology. During his schooling, Dr. Hall was inducted into such prestigious honor societies as Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Minesh Mehta, M.D., is a renowned expert in radiation oncology, proton therapy and cancer research and serves as deputy director and the John and Mary Lou Dasburg Endowed Chair in Radiation Oncology at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute, chief of Radiation Oncology at Baptist Health, and chair of the Department of Oncological Sciences at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Mehta has designed and led numerous national and international clinical studies, receiving National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute grants and winning honors for his research in brain and central nervous system tumors. He helped launch and was the medical director of the Maryland Proton Treatment Center in Baltimore, prior to joining Baptist Health. Dr. Mehta is board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology and in neuro-oncology by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. He has held national leadership positions in numerous organizations, including the American Board of Radiology, the FDA Radiological Devices Panel, the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Society of Neuro-Oncology. An avid researcher, Dr. Mehta provides a multidisciplinary, innovative approach to individual care and helps all his patients understand their diagnosis, available treatment options and potential clinical trials
